Spread a Little Joy was a concept concert performed to raise money for Brentwood Theatre.  The idea was created by MD Ian Southgate, who has been devising concerts of over the last 10 years with the sole purpose of raising money for a Theatre close to his heart.

Indeed joy was spread with fantastic performances from the whole cast with heart warming and comic moments.

HONK! Jr is a musical adaptation of Hans Christian Anderson’s Ugly Duckling.

In May 2015 our Jnr cast performed this delightful adaptation of one of the most beloved fables of all time, Hans Christian Anderson’s Ugly Duckling, at the Helen Mirren Studio, Basildon Towngate. HONK! Jr was our first youth production and it has been a real honour to see a group of novice performers own the stage and grow in confidence.

Vivid Theatre Productions present RENT! With a stunning cast presenting this ground-breaking ROCK MUSICAL by JONATHAN LARSON in the intimate auditorium of BRENTWOOD THEATRE you’ll be swept along into the wild bohemian East Village of New York City.

This exuberant rock version of Puccini’s opera La Boheme won the Tony Award for Best Musical as well as one of the only musicals to win the Pullitzer Prize for Drama. Larson’s stirring and life-affirming score captures the heart and spirit of a generation of struggling artists, addicts and impoverished young people living in the shadow of AIDS. A world where hope crawls out of dark despair, the salvation of love can be found within each other, where art thrives and everything good is free.

Vivid proudly present their latest fundraiser NEXT! A Musical Revue which is a look at the hopes and fears that come to the surface when auditioning for a musical theatre production, and is once more raising money for Brentwood Theatre Trust, the independent charity that owns and maintains the ‘jewel in Brentwood’s crown.’

In the same style of An Ordinary Day – which was performed here nearly two years ago – Vivid’s team of Ian Southgate and Emma Sweeney have created their own unique storyline which the cast will explore through contemporary musical theatre and pop. The audience can expect to hear songs from the shows including A Chorus Line,Chicago, Sister Act and Matilda, with pop music by Alicia Keys, Beyonce and Carrie Underwood.

Will they have what it takes? Or will they hear…NEXT!

After a sell out success of ‘Her’ and ‘Him’, the concert series concludes with ‘Him & Her’, which celebrates the trials and tribulations of being in a relationship, falling in love and making the decision to let someone go. The songs are an eclectic mix of new writing from Off-Broadway to the West End. It will be a chance for you to see a rare exploration of relationships through song. Join us for a fun and uplifting concert with a company of great voices

An Ordinary Day; a musical revue of contemporary musical theatre songs set against the back-drop of a busy New York coffee shop. Departing from the usual musical theatre concert An Ordinary Day follows the patrons and staff of the coffee shop as they go through their busy lives over the course of one day with relationships and connections made, broken and left tantalisingly unanswered. This revue uses songs from shows such as SISTER ACT, SHREK, SPRING AWAKENING, 9 TO 5, THE LAST 5 YEARS and PROMISES, PROMISES to explore fate, love, loss, hope and line dancing!
